Corinthian ProStars Classics Series 2 was released in February 2008 and was made up of only 4 figures but each one is a true legend of the game!

The line up is staggering, Zidane, Maldini, Messi and Del Piero, try pick a favourite out of that quartet! Zinedine Zidane was an ever present through the entire history of Corinthian, however this would prove to be the talismanic Frenchman's final appearance, here in the Juventus home kit, the sculpt used being the same as the International Tournaments Greats, Select 500 and Juventus Legends  Team Pack and is my personal favourite Zidane sculpt.

Paolo Maldini is a player who needs absolutely no introduction, another truly great sculpt of the Italian defender and one which of course proved incredibly popular with collectors all over the world. Fellow Italian Alessandro Del Piero feautres in Italy home kit, with the sculpt used being the same as Prostars Series 27 Super Strikers.

Completing the line up is Lionel Messi, this was an all new scuplt of the little Argentinian, but would be used again for the Club 2008 Barcelona release and in the ProStars Select 500 range. I personally do not like this sculpt of Messi, feel the initial sculpt was far better but it did nothing to stop sales, with the Messi being an instant sell out.

Corinthian had really wound down production volume by this point and although they never disclosed volume for the Classics range i personally feel it was relatively low, just given how fast they sold out and how infrequently they appear on the secondary market. Del Piero is the most accessible, followd by Maldini, with Zidane and of course Messi being the most elusive and expensive.

The figures were released as single blister packs and came with collector card. Platinum Packs were also produced, with each one being limited to ust 360 pieces, and coming with an individually numbered collector card.
