Le Marronnier's Lovely Gardens
Summer holidays are an important opportunity for Y5 pupils to prepare for the 11 Plus tests which will be taken shortly after starting back at school. It is also important for families to get away and enjoy quality time together during the summer. This is why we have come up with the perfect solution - a family holiday with 11 Plus morning tuition at Le Marronnier with its typically French farmhouse and gardens.
Le Marronnier is the ideal base for a wonderful student homestay in beautiful Burgundy. With excellent family accommodation, facilities and grounds. We offer two rooms (one with two beds and the other with a double bed), a kitchen and two bathrooms at your disposal. Your hosts, Andrew and Marielle, are of course both DBS cleared teachers with safeguarding training. 5 hours of 11 Plus Tuition are offered per week, weather permitting in our lovely gardens, by Andrew, a highly qualified teacher with extensive experience in 11 Plus teaching and tutoring.
The rest of the day is for the student to enjoy the many places of interest and savour the delights of country life in a wonderful area of France:
The cost of a week's self catering accommodation for a family of four at Le Marronnier, including 5 hours' 11 plus tuition and five hours' directed studies is £850*. We have started taking bookings for Summer 2027, so if you are interested in our offer of a family holiday with 11 Plus tuition please let us know your preferred dates as soon as possible:)
If you wish to stay for 2 weeks the price would be reduced by £200 off the second week for all reservations, so £1500*.

I have taught 11 Plus skills in several prep schools and have 25 years' experience in teaching and tutoring. Much of this experience has been in 11+ tuition: VR, NVR, Maths and English. 11+ preparation is a specialism of mine. I motivate students to achieve their 11 Plus potential through a structured approach, high expectations, rigour and fun!
