Why I would need a lasting power of attorney?
You may have a relative whom you fear may become mentally incapable of managing their own affairs. They would therefore need you to deal with their affairs and be able to continue to do so, even if they do become mentally incapable.
We charge £400.00 plus VAT for drawing up a single lasting power of attorney and registering it with the Office of the Public Guardian. The OPG charges a registration fee of £82.00.
