Leaders
Your course leaders combine a wealth of teaching experience with a great understanding of the French language and culture. While all our tutors have taught in top UK schools, all have homes in France and will insist on speaking only French throughout the course!
Sarah White BA, PGCE
Sarah has recently retired after thirty years teaching French and German in state and independent schools, and was most recently Head of French at
Rendcomb College in Gloucestershire.
Julia Barron BA, PhD, PGCE
Julia is a French and Italian teacher who held the position of Deputy Head of Modern Foreign Languages at St. Paul's Girls' School after a career teaching in Scotland and at Dulwich College.
Simon Clark BA, PGCE
Simon is the owner of the Mas d'Arjac and has recently retired from teaching French and Spanish at
Dulwich College in London. Simon is now permanently installed in France and runs the Mas d'Arjac as a cultural, learning and performing arts centre.
Catherine Staniford, BA PGCE
Catherine is a French & Spanish teacher at a top independent school in London where she also runs an MFL School Centred Initial Teacher Training programme. She has over twenty years' experience of teaching languages in state and independent schools in the UK and abroad.
