Welcome to Stone and Ink.

My name is Emil Thompson and I live and work near Balmerino in Scotland. I first gained a formal qualification in architectural stone masonry at Weymouth College in Dorset and from there continued on to gain a first class honours degree in Fine Art Sculpture at the University of Chichester followed by a postgraduate MFA at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee.

I have a wonderful studio in an old stable block beside my home where I create all sorts of carvings and paintings. I am also a keen musician and song writer.
