Yoga and Meditation Retreats

The peace and quiet of this beautiful Mas make it a perfect destination to come and practise yoga and meditation in our extensive gardens or in the La Grange (our 1832 barn which has been completely refurbished as a light and airy studio space).Yoga sessions could take place in the morning and the evening with the possibility of massage sessions.

Our chef, Farzana, provides wonderful, healthy options at lunch and dinner based on a vegetarian diet and offering the freshest of dishes inspired by whatever is seasonal in the wonderful Aveyron countryside.

Writers' Retreats

The peace and calm of Arjac help creativity to flow and nature helps to inspire. At the Mas there are many comfortable corners in which to settle far from others, with good modern communications in case research needs to be done. Lunches and dinners, cooked by Farzana our chef, provide the opportunity for guests to discuss ideas and concepts over delicious regional dishes washed down by the wines of our own local vineyards.

Music Making

Our new Atelier at Arjac provides an ideal rehearsal space for small vocal or instrumental ensembles who wish to enjoy the surroundings and excellent food of le Mas d’Arjac while rehearsing and preparing for concerts in some of our stunning local settings. Within a short drive you will find music venues such as the Théâtre Municipal or the cloisters of the Chartreuse St Sauveur in Villefranche de Rouergue, our nearest town. There is also a long list of churches which welcome visiting musicians such as the Abbaye de Beaulieu, the Abbaye de Loc-Dieu, the Collégiale in Villefranche, the Chateau de Cambayrac, and any one of a number of beautiful romanesque and gothic churches with glorious acoustics which are crying out to have music performed in them and where the local population and visitors cannot get enough culture. We can provide not only the facilities for your stay and work, but will also liaise with the local tourist boards and concert venues to provide a successful tour programme for your group.

Drawing and Painting Classes and Artists in Residence

The particular light of the Aveyron matched with the beauty of its countryside and flora and fauna make it an ideal destination for artists, as do ten of the most beautiful villages in France which are situated within an hour's drive of Arjac.

Language Learning

French lessons in the Atelier with very experienced and successful but understanding teachers, meals with the locals, trips to some of the most beautiful villages in France, the  markets, the chateaux and l’apéro sur la terrasse. All of these ingredients create an atmosphere in which your French will come to life, or back to life through total immersion in the language and the lifestyle at the stunning Mas d’Arjac.
