How can we help?

What makes us stand out

Family-run surfacing team

Over six decades of trade experience delivering practical knowledge from domestic driveways to commercial highways.

Minimal disruption on site

Clear communication and organised scheduling ensure your project stays moving safely without any unnecessary fuss.

British Standards focused

Fully qualified operatives manage every contract from initial enquiry to final appraisal with impeccable workmanship.

A surfacing team that knows what matters on site

Cracked surfaces, poor drainage and jobs that drag on can cause more grief than they should. Edwards Surfacing grew from over six decades in the trade and a straightforward belief that your project deserves proper planning, clear communication and work done safely from the ground up.

We’re a family-run outfit, and we bring practical knowledge to everything from private driveways to major commercial surfacing across Milton Keynes, Buckingham, Oxford, Bedford, and the South of England. That means we don’t just lay the wearing course and leave things to chance, because the groundwork, materials and finish all need to work hard for you long after we leave.

Make organising your job easy

EdwardsApps is the software side of Edwards Surfacing. Every product was written by our director, Peter Edwards, because we needed it on our own jobs first — and it still runs this firm every day.

Job management built inside a working contractor and used to run it every day: scheduling, job costing, invoicing, CIS-aware Sage 50 export, WhatsApp to crews on site — with QCI, a full sales pipeline, built in.

Our team

Founder Ken Edwards has over 40 years of experience in the surfacing industry, working on a variety of projects and for a variety of clients across all sectors. Ken has an excellent reputation throughout the industry as someone who values reliability, honesty, good workmanship and professionalism. Always eager to please, his invaluable day-to-day experience of managing a wide range of projects as the industry has evolved enables him to understand a client’s requirements and work with his team in providing impeccable service.

Managing Director Simon Edwards has also been involved with the company since its inception in 2006 and has been heavily involved in managing the day-to-day activities of the company, including the teams on site, where he himself gained years of experience before progressing to managing contracts.

Working with Head Surveyor Leigh Naughton, who also benefits from years in the surfacing and groundworks industries, they work on projects thoroughly from the initial enquiry to quotation, planning, execution and the client’s appraisal of our work — including our residential driveway installation services. Mark Edwards, Tom Lowery and Steve Fifield complete the surveying and site management team.

Finally, many of those in our teams on-site have worked for us for many years, which is a testament to the quality of their work and loyalty shown towards our business. All of our operatives are fully qualified, and each has a well-developed knowledge of the surfacing industry.

The difference is in how the job is handled

When your surface is worn out, unsafe, or simply giving the wrong impression, you need more than a quick patch and a hopeful shrug. We take on roads, driveways, car parks, footpaths and school sites, with the same focus on preparation, drainage and a finish that suits the way the area is used. Edwards Surfacing also supports projects with line marking, surface dressing, kerbing, and groundworks, so you’re not left juggling separate contractors to get the job finished.

Across Milton Keynes and the wider South of England, we keep things organised, keep you informed and keep the site moving without unnecessary fuss. Get in touch today to discuss your upcoming project with our team, and have a look at our latest news blog for expert surfacing guidance and updates.
