I qualified in 1989, after 4 years training in London at the  British College of Osteopathic Medicine .

I moved back to my home town of Newent in Gloucestershire and opened  Newent Osteopaths.

I choose osteopathy as a career after suffering from a chronic back problem as a child that continued through my adult life ,after going through the hospital NHS system the only relief  was with osteopathic treatment .

This is when I decided this was my vocation.

I feel that my back pain experience has formed me as an osteopath and enables  me connect and empathise with patients.

I have three children ,two step children and five grandchildren ,which gives me first hand understanding how a busy life, juggling home, work life  can have a very real  physicological  effect  on your body . Osteopathy really does work .
