Detailed paving without a fragile finish
Compacted support
We prepare the load-bearing layers to reduce sinking and wheel ruts.
Restrained edges
Secure borders help keep the blocks aligned under repeated vehicle use.
Local repair access
Individual units can be lifted and replaced when a small area needs work.
Strong paving starts below the blocks
Blocks only stay level when the layers underneath carry vehicle loads properly. We excavate to the required depth, compact the sub-base and prepare the bedding layer before setting edge restraints. The selected blocks are then laid to the planned pattern and finished with jointing sand. We also establish drainage falls as part of the build. These hidden stages help limit rutting, rocking blocks and standing water after regular parking and turning.

Patterns that remain practical to maintain
Block shape, colour, border and laying pattern can give a driveway a traditional or modern appearance. We help you choose a combination that suits the property without forgetting daily use. Individual blocks can be lifted when local correction or underground access is needed, which is a useful repair advantage. Routine cleaning, joint care and weed control help maintain the area, while an isolated chipped block can usually be replaced without renewing the whole surface.
Frequently asked questions
Will weeds grow through new block paving?
Most weed growth starts from seeds settling in the joints rather than pushing up from deep below. Keeping joints filled and cleaning the surface helps control unwanted growth.
Can damaged blocks be replaced separately?
Yes. One advantage of block paving is that individual units can be lifted for replacement or access. The surrounding blocks are then reset and the joints refilled.
How do you prevent puddles on the driveway?
We assess levels, set suitable falls and plan how water will leave the paved area. Correct excavation and a stable base also help prevent later settlement that can form low spots.
