Clear evidence before repair work starts
Leak path checked
We inspect beyond the damp mark to find where rain is getting through.
Two clear stages
We separate urgent water control from the permanent weatherproof repair.
Written findings
Your quotation explains the identified defect and the work we propose.
Trace where the water really enters
The damp patch on your ceiling may not sit below the actual roof defect. Water can travel along felt, timbers or masonry before it becomes visible indoors. We use internal evidence and an external inspection to trace the likely route. Damaged coverings, slipped tiles, failed flashing and weak roof junctions are checked alongside the first visible sign. Finding the true entry point prevents an easy-looking patch from leaving the real problem untouched.

Control the water, then fix the cause
If active water entry needs immediate control, we explain what temporary protection can achieve and what permanent repair remains necessary. Once we identify the failed material or detail, we prepare a written quotation that records the defect and proposed repair before work proceeds. There is no roofing call-out charge. After the agreed repair, we check the affected section for sound weather protection rather than judging the job from the dry patch indoors alone.
Frequently asked questions
Why is the damp patch away from the roof defect?
Water often follows roof felt, rafters, pipes or masonry before dripping indoors. We inspect both the internal signs and the roof exterior to trace that route more accurately.
Can you stop an active leak during bad weather?
We can assess immediate water-control measures where conditions allow safe access. Temporary protection limits further entry, but we still identify and quote for the permanent repair.
Is there a call-out charge for roof leaks?
No. We don't charge a roofing call-out fee. After inspection, we provide a detailed written quotation explaining the defect and proposed repair before agreed work starts.
