All babies are offered an NHS Newborn Screening Examination.  Dr Reece can perform a private newborn examination of your baby if you wish. This is not usually covered by health insurance.

 

A newborn baby check can be performed at Spire Bushey in an Outpatient appointment.

 

The examination is best carried out within the first 72 hours after birth. The timing of Dr Reece's private outpatient clinics being once a week may mean this timescale is not achievable for your baby. Dr Reece advises parents to have their baby checked in the NHS newborn examination system as routine, and make arrangements for a private check if desired.
