I would like to thank Eraklis Costa's for the information on the Bichaki family. Having left Lurucina in the late 1950s finding information of the Greek speaking members of our village has indeed been difficult, fortunately with the Ottoman census archive information together with Eraklis immense support we may finally be in a position to finally begin to add these families to our village family trees. It goes without saying that unless all the people who originated from Lurucina are recorded then the history and records of our village will remain incomplete. With patience, research and more support this is something that we should in time be able to overcame.

IMPORTANT NOTE;

Eleni daughter of Petri and Despina. though registered in the Ottoman census of 1879-81 does not seem to be recorded on the family tree of Eraklis Costa. It's possible Eleni may have died young and therefore is not known to the younger generation. This is no doubt speculative. More research on this matter needs to be undertaken
