Naturist Holidays

Denmark

We have only had one holiday in Denmark - back in 1990. The children wanted to visit Legoland and so we rented a house and took the car over on the ferry*. Denmark has a fairly liberal attitude to nudity and most beaches can be used nude. However, there is always the chance that someone might be upset, so unless there are other nudes there when you arrive, do not strip off too close to another group.

Jegum Ferieland - 1990

Jegum Ferieland is a large leisure estate covering some 400 acres about fifteen miles north of Esjberg, where the ferry from England used to dock*. There are hundreds of houses there, some of which are available as holiday lets.

The estate is not a designated naturist location, but as our house was on a half acre plot with a high rose hedge around it, the back garden was very suitable for nude leisure.

From here we spent a day at Legoland and a day on the beach at Henne Strand - below. We also spent a day at Ribe where we visited the cathedral.

* Unfortunately there are now no ferries from England to Denmark.

Henne Strand - 1990

Henne Strand beach is part of the long beach that stretches for over forty miles northwards from Esjberg to the mouth of the Ringkøbing Fjord. There is a large car park behind the beach.

About a mile and a half back from the beach is Lyngboparken naturist campsite, which accepts tents, caravans and motorhomes. We haven't visited Lyngboparken but mention it as a useful place for naturist campers.
