Telford - 2012
As part of a tour of the country we visited Telford Naturist Club in August. We had made all the arrangements by email and had paid the £25.00 deposit that had been requested.

We were made very welcome and were shown to our pitch and given a quick outline of the facilities. After setting up, we went for a stroll through the woods that cover the majority of the land owned by TNC. Someone had thoughtfully prepared a map of the woods with all the paths marked on it.

TNC has a large club house, with licensed bar; a heated outdoor swimming pool; an excellent shower and lavatory block; and a sauna; as well as several water and disposal points. As with most naturist clubs, the majority of pitches belong to members but there are several available for visitors and all have standard 16 amp electric sockets.

From here we visited Ironbridge to see Telford’s famous iron bridge, and Shrewsbury to visit the Abbey and follow in the, fictional, footsteps of Ellis Peters’s “Cadfael”.

For stocking up the cupboards, there is an Asda less than two miles away at Donnington Wood, N52.7079° W2.4347°.
Wrekin View - 2013
In August 2013 we made another tour of the country and visited three other naturist clubs. This was the first and we made all the arrangements by email from the club website and by telephone. The committee member we spoke to was very helpful and welcomed us when we arrived with an offer of cups of tea. As it was raining we were quickly shown the facilities and then left to set up.

Wrekin View, also known as Crin Cottage, is a members' club with nineteen static caravans for members and several pitches for visiting caravans, motorhomes and tents. Each pitch is supplied with a six amp electric hook-up.

There is a swimming pool, a hot tub, a miniten court, boules courts and, of course, Crin Cottage itself with a well equipped kitchen, a sitting room and a covered verandah. Behind the cottage is The Old Bakehouse, which has been renovated to provide a large meeting room.

The site is in a valley with most of the caravans arranged down one side of the valley. The cottage looks out over the swimming pool and the lower part of the site, which is several dozen feet lower than the top.
There is no rubbish disposal service at Wrekin View, but towards the lowest point of the site there is a large brick grate where combustible rubbish may be burned.

From here we visited Attingham Park, a National Trust property about sixteen miles away, entrance at N52.6798° W2.6792°.
This site almost made it into our "Star Site" category. It was only the long narrow drive, where we were nervous of meeting another caravan, and the fact that the effluent digester had an aversion to chemicals that kept it out. We enjoyed our stay very much, but no chemicals in the cassette did make it smell a bit.
For stocking up the cupboards, there is a Morrisons and an Asda in Market Drayton, about ten miles away. Morrisons is at N52.9081° W2.4871° and Asda is at N52.9050° W2.4820°. There is also a large Tesco in Shrewsbury at N52.7388° W2.7223°, about eleven miles away.
