White Tail Resort sits in a forty-five acre site in the south-east corner of Virginia, around thirty miles north-eastish of Chesapeake. Facilities include a large clubhouse, two swimming pools - one indoor and one outdoor, around fifty pitches for visiting caravans and motorhomes, an area for tents and several park models for rent. There are also around a hundred pitches used by club members. For those wishing to play games there are a volleyball court, a pickleball court, a mini golf course, horseshoe courts, a petanque court and a large chessboard complete with pieces.  

We stayed for a week in one of the park models which was exceptionally well equipped. There were two bedrooms, a sitting area, a dining area, a kitchen equipped with what looked like brand new saucepans etc, a bathroom with shower, lavatory and wash basin and plenty of storage cupboards. The entrance was from a small terrace that had a table and four chairs. We were pleased to see that each park model had its own parking space. We were also pleased, and rather surprised, that each outfit had its own wifi router. The only downside was the air-conditioning system which, although it cooled the interior very well, was very noisy inside. Each time we went out we turned the temperature to a low setting and left it running until we returned.
